County Veteran Service Offices Associations of Florida
The County Veterans Service Officers Association of Florida (CVSOAFL) is a statewide, non-profit organization comprised of dedicated County Veterans Service Officers (VSOs) who work directly with veterans and their families in all 67 Florida counties.
Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Benefits and Services
The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs advocates on behalf of Florida’s 1.4 million veterans by ensuring they receive benefits and resources earned through their service to our country. With the help of the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, these servicemembers are connected with needed information and resources.
Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Women Veterans
Florida is home to more than 172,000 women veterans, the second largest population of women veterans in the nation. Many women veterans are not aware they are eligible for the full range of federal and state benefits, including special programs. To learn about federal benefits, click here.
FloridaCommerce Veterans Program
The mission of the FloridaCommerce Veterans Program is to provide and promote employment opportunities for Florida’s veterans.
The Florida Veterans Foundation (FVF) advocates on behalf of Florida’s veterans to ensure they have access to healthcare, education, jobs and their benefits. Many of the members of FVF are retired servicemembers who are well-trained on the rules and regulations that pertain to veterans. FVF partners with service organizations to provide financial, educational, employment and social support to help veterans get back on their feet and into society.
The mission of Student Veterans of America is to provide veterans with resources, support and advocate on behalf of veterans to ensure their success in higher education.

The Tallahassee Veterans Legal Collaborative provides veterans access to free legal services.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Discharge Upgrade Tool
Answer a series of questions to get customized step-by-step instructions on how to apply for a discharge upgrade or correction. If your application goes through and your discharge is upgraded, you'll be eligible for the VA benefits you earned during your period of service.

The Veterans Home Loans program provides veterans with a home loan guaranty and other housing-related programs to help veterans buy, build, repair, retain or customize a home to fit their personal needs.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Memorial Benefits
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs take special care to pay lasting tributes to the memory of the men and women who served and sacrificed in service to our country. VA burial benefits can help servicemembers, Veterans and their family members plan and pay for a burial or memorial service in a VA national cemetery. Family members can also order memorial items to honor the service of a Veteran.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Vet Center Program
This website allows military personnel and their families find community-based Vet Centers near them (there are 207 nationwide). Vet Centers provide free readjustment counseling and outreach services to veterans who served in a combat zone and to military family members dealing with military-related issues.
Veterans of Foreign Wars, National Veterans Service
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) organization advocates on behalf of veterans to ensure they received the benefits they deserve.
Volunteers of America Florida, Veteran Services
The mission of Volunteers of America Florida is to connect veterans with the benefits and services they are entitled to by incorporating mentoring and peer-to-support. Volunteers of America Florida also provides employment services that includes assessments, training and placement.
