About Us
The Division of Rehabilitation and Liquidation (Division) is one of 13 divisions within the Florida Department of Financial Services. It serves as the Receiver of insurance companies that are placed in receivership, primarily for purposes of rehabilitation or liquidation. Under an order of rehabilitation, the Receiver seeks to remedy the problems that resulted in the company being placed into rehabilitation. In liquidation, the Receiver collects all assets of the company and ultimately distributes the available assets to claimants under a statutory prioritization. In both instances, the Receiver is responsible for conducting business on behalf of the company that has been placed in receivership. This process entails providing an array of services which include Accounting, Asset Recovery, Claims, Legal, Information Technology, Administrative Services, and Estate Management functions.

Senior Asset Recovery Analyst

SUMMARY:
The Division is seeking a Senior Asset Recovery Analyst. This position is responsible for conducting various types of collection activities and estate property management functions for insurance companies in receivership. The duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Coordinates the collection and/or recovery of all outstanding amounts due to insurance companies in receivership and makes recommendations to management.
- Evaluates invoices and receipts for payment or deposit.
- Responds to consumer inquiries on receivership activity and responds to phone calls and correspondence concerning collections.
- Travels to companies in receivership to perform onsite activities for the Asset Recovery team including maintaining control of all onsite inventory, supervising the retrieval of records and non-cash assets, and preparing reports regarding takeover activities and outcomes.
- Secures and manages real and personal property of companies in receivership and arranges for the property to be sold.
- Recommends providers for onsite services such as security, locksmiths, and other needs.
- Compiles and analyzes data to aid the receivership process and carry out Asset Recovery responsibilities.
- Research, analyze, and provide support for determining ownership of company assets, initiatives, and asset recovery goals.
- Oversees receivership auctions and assists with the disposal of assets in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing and implementing collection strategies, policies, procedures, and new work processes.
- Assists the Asset Recovery Manager with training of new employees.
- Performs other duties as required.
SALARY RANGE:
The hiring salary range for this position is $48,050.00 - $55,000.00 per year.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in business administration, economics, insurance, claims, finance, collections, accounting, or statistics, or
- Professional experience as described above may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education, or
- One year experience as an Asset Recovery Analyst with the Receiver.
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Insurance underwriting, accounting, or claims experience
