Centralized Performance System (CPS)

The CPS Section is responsible for evaluating and assessing insurer performance pursuant to Section 440.525, F.S., Chapters 69L-7 and 69L-24, F.A.C., regarding the timely payment of initial indemnity benefits and medical bills, and the timely filing of the First Report of Injury or Illness Form (DWC-1) and medical bills.

The Division has developed and implemented an interactive Internet-based system that allows insurers to access and respond to their performance information in real-time. CPS provides essential performance information and industry trends that enable both the Division and insurers to monitor claim performance issues. CPS has two modules, one that monitors an insurer's medical performance, and one that monitors and evaluates an insurer's indemnity performance.
