"Shrinkflation" is Hidden Inflation
6/17/2022
On Monday, I issued a Consumer Alert on the issue of “Shrinkflation.” During this time of historic inflation, people are faced with unbearably high prices for gas and groceries, in addition to that, manufacturers are also ‘shrinking’ their products without reducing their prices. This is a form of hidden inflation and Floridians should pay close attention to the products that they are paying for, so that they get the best bang for their buck.
On Wednesday, I warned Floridians of Hot Car tragedies, as we continue to see a major heat wave hit Florida.
All of us who live in this great state know that summers can be brutally hot, and you can never leave children or pets alone in a car during these high temperatures. Experts say that an average of 38 children die every year from hot car related tragedies.
Make sure to stay alert and avoid distractions while driving with your children.
Lastly, this week I was proud to attend the grand opening of the new 1AAuto Distribution Center in Jacksonville. It is
always exciting to see a great company run by great people prosper, and I am very excited to see 1A Auto succeed in our state. Please join me in welcoming them to Florida!
Sincerely,
