This week, I highlighted the success of the My Florida Safe Home program and efforts to refund the initiative during the 2024 Legislative Session. The Program has been huge in helping Florida insurance consumers reduce their premiums and protect their homes from future storms. I'm proud to work with the Florida Legislature this session to fight for an extension of the Home Hardening Sales Tax Exemption, to allow homeowners to save on storm mitigation improvements. As well as working with the Florida Legislature to advocate for an additional $200 million in funding so that Florida can continue to strengthen their homes. These home hardening improvements are vital to cutting insurance costs and will help protect your biggest investment, your home.

On Friday, I proudly endorsed Elon Musk for the Nobel Peace Prize.  His tireless advocacy for free speech and universal internet access, has forever changed the world for the better. I also witnessed firsthand his efforts to come to the aid of his fellow man following the devastation of Hurricane Ian in Southwest Florida just two short years ago. By providing immediate Starlink satellite access to Florida's first responders and communities as they worked to recover, Musk gave hope to Floridians at their darkest moments and helped them rebuild faster. Musk's beliefs shine as a beacon of progress, creating a path towards a brighter, more connected future for humanity.
