Election of Coverage Information
If you are an Officer of a Corporation or Member of a Limited Liability Company you are not eligible to file a Notice of Election of Coverage.

The purpose of filing a Notice of Election of Coverage is to elect to be included in the definition of employee, and become eligible for workers’ compensation benefits pursuant to Chapter 440, Florida Statutes as a non-construction industry Sole Proprietor or Partner.
To be eligible for an Election you must meet the criteria listed below:
- Must be a Sole Proprietor, OR
- Partner in a Partnership registered with the Florida Division of Corporations
- Must be in the Non-Construction industry
