No action is needed.  Payroll schedules will not be impacted.

Establishing Direct Deposit is required by Florida Law per Section 110.113(2), Florida Statutes (F.S.).  Contact your Human Resources Office to request ACH enrollment through People First by December 8, 2026. 

Please note that State of Florida checks will look different!  They are being issued from a new accounting system, Florida PALM, beginning in January 2027.

Employees will see some changes in tax calculations.  All tax calculations are IRS compliant. Changes to monthly and biweekly paychecks will not be significant.  Supplemental Payments processed in Florida PALM will be subject to the Flat Tax Rate and the alternative tax method will no longer be used to calculate taxes.

Please note: There will be a short timeframe when changes to direct deposit information will not be accepted.  Direct deposit payment information can be cancelled at any time.  Contact your Human Resources Office if you need to discontinue receiving payments via direct deposit.  Once the new accounting system, Florida PALM, is implemented in January 2027, new direct deposit information can be accepted.  Employees that cancel direct deposit during this time will receive payment by paper check.

Beginning in January 2027, all direct deposit information will be added or updated in the new state employee self-service portal (ESS). This portal will replace the Employee Information Center (EIC), which will be retired in the summer of 2027. 
All State of Florida Employees will log into Florida PALM ESS to receive payment remittances (pay stubs), to view Form W-2, to add or update direct deposit information, and to add or update Form W-4 information.
Yes!  All employees who wish to receive electronic Form W-2 for 2027 and later will have to select that option in Florida PALM ESS.  IRS regulations do not allow your current electronic delivery preference from the EIC to be carried over from the EIC.
Form W-4 information will be updated through People First until December 23, 2026. Beginning in January 2027, Form W-4 information will be added or updated in Florida PALM ESS.
All 2026 Form W-2s will be issued from the retiring accounting system, FLAIR, and be available to state employees through the EIC by January 31, 2027.  Corrected Form W-2s (W-2C) will continue to be issued from FLAIR and available through employing agencies through March 2027.
Paystubs and Form W-2 will be available in the EIC until it is retired.  Florida PALM ESS will replace the EIC by summer 2027. Beginning in summer of 2027, paystubs from 2026 and Form W-2s for 2026, 2025, and 2024 will be available in Florida PALM ESS.
Florida PALM ESS will contain paystubs for 2026, and Form W-2s for 2026, 2025 and 2024.
