TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis today announced that the Department of Financial Services (DFS) has launched a Hurricane Irma insurance information website to provide comprehensive insurance information for Floridians ahead of the landfall of Hurricane Irma. Using this website, Floridians can find insurance company contact information, learn critical information about their insurance policies, and find help for insurance-related questions and concerns.

“As Hurricane Irma continues to pose an imminent threat to large parts of our state, it is crucial that Floridians have access to accurate insurance information and a single place to find insurance assistance when they need it,” said CFO Patronis. “Floridians can now access a wealth of information on the web, and consumers are encouraged to call our toll-free Helpline if they have any additional questions or concerns about the filing of a post-storm claim. Our goal is to support Florida’s policyholders, and we’ll continue to look for ways to make the claims process as smooth as is possible after disaster.”
