Arrest Made in Bartow Arson

BARTOW—A 54 year-old man Bartow has been arrested in connection with a house fire.

Investigators with state's Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations arrested Larry Earl Davis, of 260 Van Fleet Rd., Apt. 5, Bartow yesterday on one count of arson for allegedly setting fire to an unoccupied wood frame home. The fire occurred on late Monday night at 1630 Oeleander Place. The fire caused approximately $75,000 in damage. There were no injuries reported.

Investigators believe Davis was attempting to destroy the home because of a property dispute.

The Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations is a Law Enforcement branch of the Division of State Fire Marshal that assists other state and local fire and law enforcement agencies in the investigations of fires of suspicious origin.
