Fire Code Administrator
Option A – Direct Program Delivery

The first option is designed for persons who have at least six years of full-time equivalent experience as a certified Firesafety Inspector. This method is the traditional model to achieve Fire Code Administrator Certification. To qualify for certification as a Fire Code Administrator, using the Direct Program Delivery method, the applicant shall: 

  • Submit the required Form DFS-K4-2085, Application for Fire Code Administrator Certification with all supporting documentation and fees, to the Bureau.
  • Successfully complete all required course work as defined in 69A-39.005(2)(a)(b) F.A.C. 
  • Possess an active Firesafety Inspector III Certificate of Competency issued by the Bureau. 
  • Have at least six (6) years of full-time working as a certified Firesafety Inspector.
