Department of Financial Services COVID-19 Activity Update
March 18, 2020

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) provided new updates on Department activities regarding COVID-19.
 
• The Department of Financial Services (DFS) conducted a stress test today of DFS telework capabilities.
• The CFO sent a message to DFS staff to encourage telework capabilities, social distancing, and underscore the importance of their health and safety.
• The CFO held a conference call with Fire Chiefs statewide to discuss availability of equipment and prioritizing first responders for COVID-19 testing.
• The CFO spoke with Division of Emergency Management (DEM) Director Jared Moskowitz on prioritizing first responders for COVID-19 testing and protective equipment.
• The CFO joined a conference call with the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST) regarding COVID-19 response.
• The CFO held a call with Senate President Bill Galvano and House Speaker Jose Oliva regarding the budget.
