CFO and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis: Let's Step up for our First Responders

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis issued the following statement regarding the unanimous approval of Senate Bill 376 today by the Florida Senate Appropriations Committee.
“Florida can’t go another year without passing meaningful mental health reform for our first responders. We MUST get this bill into law. Our first responders show up for us. It’s our turn to show up for them.
“I urge the House and Senate to continue to support and move QUICKLY on this good legislation.”
The next stop for SB 376, sponsored by Sen. Lauren Book, is the Senate Rules Committee.
