TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – In celebration of Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, the Department of Financial Services today participated in an event at Florida’s Capitol.
The Department’s Division of Consumer Services’ staff provided children in attendance with the opportunity to play Financial Jeopardy, an interactive and engaging online game that tests their knowledge of financial topics such as budgeting, saving, credit and banking. The game is available in three difficulty levels—beginner, intermediate and advanced. The Department also provided information and resources available to assist children in learning about finances.
It is never too early to teach children the importance of being financially savvy. Each day brings opportunities to teach important lessons regarding money, and these tools will remain with today’s children as they become tomorrow’s leaders.
