$2,500 Reward Offered in Arson Case



Woodville - A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information regarding a fire that destroyed a cabinetry shop late Sunday night.

Investigators with the State Fire Marshal's Office, Tallahassee Fire Department, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms have determined the fire was intentionally set.

Two firefighters received minor injuries while fighting the 10 p.m. blaze at Big Bend Cabinets, located at 9140 Woodville Highway. The fire also damaged two adjacent businesses.

The Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fire.

The Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations is the law enforcement branch of the Division of State Fire Marshal that assists other state and local law enforcement agencies in the investigation of fires of suspicious origin. Anyone with information about this fire is asked to call 1-877-662-7766 (1-877-NOARSON) or the Tallahassee Fire Department Fire Information Hotline at 891-3473.
