NAPLES, Fla.- Today, Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia awarded over $8.5 million to strengthen local law enforcement capabilities. The agencies that were awarded today are the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Arcadia Police Department, Naples Police Department, and the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia said, “Florida’s law enforcement officers work tirelessly to ensure that we are a law-and-order state. It is a privilege to stand with the brave men and women that serve with integrity, professionalism, and dedication in their role. We will continue to work with our local partners to put criminals behind bars and emphasize public safety throughout our state.”

Collier County Sheriff Kevin J. Rambosk said, “With the support of our state and federal partners, we can continue to identify and apprehend criminals for their crimes. I want to thank CFO Ingoglia for his unwavering commitment in backing Florida’s law enforcement.”

Hendry County Sheriff Steven Whidden said, “We are utilizing every resource available to us to defend and protect Hendry County. Thank you, CFO Ingoglia, for the reimbursement awarded today as this amplifies our ability to enhance public safety.”

Arcadia Police Assistant Marshal Gary Evans said, “I want to thank CFO Ingoglia for supporting our officers as they risk their lives daily to arrest criminals. This reimbursement helps our commitment to public safety and protecting Arcadia citizens.”

Naples Police Assistant Chief Matthew Fletcher said, “It is our responsibility to keep the citizens in our community safe. Our department values its state and local partnerships to hold those who commit crimes accountable. I appreciate the leadership of CFO Ingoglia as he has remained committed to backing the blue.”

Under the 287 (g) agreement, the Immigration and Nationality Act authorizes state and local law enforcement to partner with ICE. The State Board of Immigration Enforcement provides funding for immigration enforcement activities for local law enforcement agencies that have applied for reimbursement. Bonuses are also provided to law enforcement officers who have been trained under the 287 (g) agreement. 

As part of the Florida Cabinet, CFO Ingoglia is a member of the State Board of Immigration Enforcement. Other members include Governor Ron DeSantis, Attorney General James Uthmeier, and Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson.
