"Studies show nearly 30 percent of firefighters and 20 percent of officers are impacted by post-traumatic stress disorder, and traumatic situations on the job can really take a toll, and that’s why Florida's CFO Jimmy Patronis is requesting $3.6 million in funding for Florida's first responders."

"Patronis says that he plans to work with the state legislature in the new session to secure funding for peer support programs and also psychological services."
