Dear Friends,
This month the Division of Agent and Agency Services welcomed new leadership and finalized steps to provide even better customer service.
Gregory Thomas now serves Florida's insurance professionals as the
division's director. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Thomas served as the
Bureau Chief of Education, Advocacy and Research in the Division of Consumer
Services where he has led efforts to advocate for consumers of financial
products and monitored trends in the marketplace. Mr. Thomas has nearly 25
years of experience in the insurance industry, some while being a former
licensed insurance agent, and six professional designations in insurance,
including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Chartered Life
Underwriter (CLU).
The division's online licensing system, MyProfile, is getting some important
enhancements. It will soon be easier to apply for a license with our
simplified application process and access MyProfile using your mobile
device. Check out the In The Know section
to read more about these upcoming enhancements.
With the division's new leadership in place and the many future enhancements
in the works, we aim to provide Florida's insurance professionals with the
highest level of service. Whether it's reducing the amount of time customers
are on hold with the Customer Contact Team or cutting license application
processing times, these improvements matter to our customers and we're going
to continue to find ways to better serve you. Please let us know how we can
continue to improve our service and make Florida the best place to be in
business.
Thank you,
Jeff Atwater
