11/07/2006 -The Workers' Compensation Health
Care Provider Reimbursement Manual has been adopted
and will become effective 11/16/2006. The major
change to this reimbursement manual will incorporate
2006 Medicare values.

10/17/2006: The hearing scheduled on 10/3/2006
for the 2006 FL WC Health Care Provider
Reimbursement Manual was not requested, and
therefore, not held. After all required rule
adoption administrative procedures are taken, it is
anticipated that this reimbursement manual will go
into effect 11/16/06. The Division will issue a
formal DWC E-Alert notification advising parties of
the official effective date of this reimbursement
manual, and will update the website accordingly.

The attached tables are a draft of the Proof of Coverage EDI
Trading Partner Requirements for the filing of Proof of
Coverage EDI transactions using Release 2.1. These tables
should be used in conjunction with the IAIABC Proof of
Coverage Release 2.1 Implementation Guide available at
iaiabc.org. These tables will be incorporated by reference
in a draft of Rule 69L-56 F.A.C. that is currently being
finalized. Printing Instructions: The

Weekly dated 4/21/2006, Volume 31, Number 16, the Department
has withdrawn this proposed rule. Accordingly, the 2004
Hospital Reimbursement Manual, Second Edition, continues to
be in effect until further notice.

tables are a draft of the Claims EDI Trading Partner
Requirements for the Claims EDI implementation of First
Reports of Injury and Subsequent Reports. These tables
should be used in conjunction with the IAIABC EDI Claims
Release 3 Implementation Guide available
here. These tables will be incorporated by
reference in a draft of Rule 69L-56 F.A.C. that is currently
being finalized. If training is needed on Claims EDI Release
3, the IAIABC is offering Claims EDI Release 3 Training in

Edition (Final Draft, Revised 03/17/2005) Reimbursement
Rule Update 3/30/06 - A public hearing was held on
5/17/2005 for the Florida Workers' Compensation
Reimbursement Manual for Hospitals, 2005 Edition. Subsequent
to the public hearing date a rule challenge was received for
the hospital reimbursement manual. Two hearing dates to
address the rule challenge have been scheduled by the
Division of Administrative Hearings; however, both hearing
dates were postponed. Resolution is still pending.
