Fatal Work-Related Injuries in Florida, 2005

The Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI) is federal/state cooperative venture conducted in all fifty states and the District of Columbia in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. The program provides the most complete count of fatal work-related injuries available, through the use of diverse state and federal sources to identify, verify and profile fatal work injuries. CFOI work-related injuries include all fatal work-related injuries in Florida, not just those covered by the Florida Workers' Compensation Law.

Florida's CFOI program is located in the Division of Workers' Compensation, Office of Research Services. The following tables present summary and demographic statistics for Florida's 2005 census. For more information, contact the Occupational Safety and Health Statistical Unit at 850-922-8953.
