Fatal Work-Related Injuries in Florida, 2001
The Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI) is
federal/state cooperative venture conducted in all fifty states
and the District of Columbia in partnership with the U.S.
Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. The program
provides the most complete count of fatal work-related injuries
available, through the use of diverse state and federal sources
to identify, verify and profile fatal work injuries. CFOI
work-related fatalities include all work-related fatalities in
Florida, not just those covered by the Florida Workers'
Compensation Law.
Florida's CFOI program is located in the Division of Workers'
Compensation, Office of Research Services. The following tables
present summary and demographic statistics for Florida's 2001
census. For more information, contact the Occupational Safety
and Health Statistical Unit at 850-922-8953.
