Audit - The Division of Workers' Compensation, pursuant to Section 440.525, F.S., audits the benefit disbursement and claims handling practices of all insurance carriers and self-insured employers providing Workers’ Compensation coverage in the State of Florida.
Penalty/CPS - The Penalty Section is responsible for evaluating and assessing insurer performance regarding the timely payment of initial indemnity benefits and medical bills, and the timely filing of the First Report of Injury or Illness Form (DWC-1) and medical bills.
