The specific names of the main categories are fluid, but the fundamental principle is the same: Government web data flows back and forth between the general Public, the Government and the Business sectors.
Years ago, MyFlorida.com organized thousands of pieces of web content around 4 customer prototypes: Visitors to the state, the Public, Businesses selling products and services regulated in the state, and Government to government services.
When we applied those organizational principles to our web site, Consumer Services emerged to replace tourist information as a wholly separate sub-category of public information.
