Public Record Requests
Public records held by the Department of Financial Services are available upon request for inspection or copying pursuant to Chapter 119, Florida Statutes.
Pursuant to Florida law, the Department charges 15 cents per page for paper copies of public records; however, the Florida Statutes also provide specific fees for particular types of documents held by the Department in a number of cases. Further, some requests may be subject to a statutorily-authorized special service charge for extensive use of information technology resources or personnel services or both. Records also may have to be reviewed to redact information made exempt or confidential by law. Any applicable charges will be invoiced and any charges must be paid prior to delivery of copies.
Public record requests do not have to be in writing and may be anonymous.
