On Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at 10 a.m., Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jeff Atwater Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Quarterback Josh Freeman and Visa Inc. will be at Northeast High School in St. Petersburg for the Florida statewide launch of a reinvented educational video game and classroom curriculum called Financial Football, in conjunction with CFO Atwater’s new Your Money Matter$ financial education initiative.
The centerpiece of Visa’s nationwide educational initiative with the NFL and NFL PLAYERS, Financial Football helps students and adults tackle their financial futures. The game incorporates lessons taught through Practical Money Skills for Life (www.practicalmoneyskills.com), a free, award-winning money management program. This game is accompanied by a classroom curriculum and is being distributed by CFO Atwater to every public middle and high school in Florida.
