CFO Atwater: Statement Regarding the Signing of HB 7095, the Pill Mill Bill

TALLAHASSEE – Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater today released the following statement recognizing Governor Rick Scott and Attorney General Pam Bondi for the signing of House Bill 7095, the pill mill bill, and their efforts to combat Florida’s pill mill epidemic.
“Attorney General Bondi, in partnership with Governor Scott, has been a fierce advocate for reforms that will help her office crackdown on the rampant prescription drug abuse that has been plaguing our state.
“Today’s bill signing marks a new day in the fight against the pill mills that have grown like weeds for far too long. With these new tools at her disposal, I am confident that Attorney General Bondi will go after these glorified drug dealers who have been able to skirt the law until now.”
