CFO Sink Asks BP to Fund Worldwide Advertising Campaign to Advise That Florida Beaches And Businesses Are Open

TALLAHASSEE—Florida CFO Alex Sink asked the president of BP America today to fund a worldwide campaign to advise potential visitors to Florida that the state’s beaches and businesses are oil-free and open for business.
“Responding to this disaster will be a marathon, not a sprint, and these important first steps that BP must take will demonstrate your commitment to respond to the effects this spill is having on our state’s citizens and our economy,” CFO Sink wrote.
