STATE PLANE TRAVEL LOGS POSTED ONLINE FOLLOWING CFO SINK’S RECOMMENDATION FOR GREATER TRANSPARENCY
TALLAHASSEE— The Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) today began posting travel logs for Florida’s state planes online, following CFO Sink’s call last week for increasing transparency and accountability to the people of Florida.
“The business of state government should be as open and transparent as possible, which is why I applaud the Department of Management Services’s decision to implement this recommendation and post details about each state plane flight online,” said CFO Sink. “I will continue my commitment to increase openness and transparency to the taxpayers of Florida.”
“The Department of Management Services remains committed to open government,” said DMS Secretary Linda H. South. “This is another opportunity for us to serve our customers in a transparent way.”
