TALLAHASSEE—Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater’s Department of Financial Services will hold a free Women’s Small Business Workshop in Tampa on Friday, Oct. 21 as part of Women’s Small Business Month.
The workshop will be held:

The workshop will provide easy-to-understand training and financial education that will increase knowledge and improve the success of an existing or planned business. The workshop will be led by Angie Hollerich, an experienced financial consultant, professional speaker and published author.
As part of a new financial education campaign, Your Money Matter$, the Women’s Small Business workshops will provide financial education for women small business owners with the goal of having a positive impact on the financial success of the participants, which in turn will have a positive effect on the overall economy.

Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, a statewide elected official and officer of the Florida Cabinet, oversees the Department of Financial Services. CFO Atwater’s priorities include fighting financial fraud, abuse and waste in government, reducing government spending and regulatory burdens that chase away businesses, and providing transparency and accountability in spending.
