The Office of Inspector General advances positive change in performance,
accountability, efficiency, integrity, and transparency of programs and
operations by facilitating agency planning and business process improvement, and
through independent, objective, and reliable inquiries, investigations and
audits.

Sections

Audits Section
The Audit Section conducts risk assessments, develops a corresponding work
plan approved by the agency head based on risk, and completes internal audits to
determine if risks have been appropriately mitigated. The Audit Section also
consults with management on the development of internal controls in new or newly
revised processes. In addition, the Audit Section coordinates all external audit
activity conducted by the Auditor General or OPPAGA into Department program
areas.

Investigations Section
The Investigations Section conducts, supervises, and coordinates
investigations designed to detect, deter, prevent, and eradicate fraud, waste,
mismanagement, misconduct, and other abuses within all program areas of the
Department.
