Insurance Fraud

The Division of Insurance Fraud enforces the criminal laws of Florida in relation to insurance transactions. Investigators are certified law enforcement officers with the authority to bear arms and make arrests. The division serves and safeguards the public and businesses in Florida against acts of insurance fraud and the resulting impact those crimes have on taxpayers, personally and financially.

Bureaus and Offices

Fraud Operations/Regional Offices

Bureau oversees fraud investigations and DIF personnel in all six regions of Florida and monitors case activity.

Bureau of Workers' Compensation Fraud

Bureau conducts investigations of alleged criminal acts of workers' compensation fraud to include claims fraud, premium fraud, and instances where employers have allegedly failed to secure workers' compensation insurance coverage for their employees as required by Florida Statute 440.

Operational Support Services

Bureau oversees Training, Staff Inspections & Accreditation, Administration and Technology support of the Division of Insurance Fraud state-wide.

The SIU provides the ability to report, comply and communicate easily with the Division of Insurance Fraud.
