1997 Pierce Quantum Quint. This apparatus maybe found at Special Operations Station 33 of the Martin County Fire Rescue.  A Quint is not an engine company nor a ladder company but may perform the job of  either one. It is actually a combination a five different units, a hose cart, an engine, a tanker, a ladder cart for hand raised ground ladders and an aerial ladder.

It has a full compliment of hose, all of the necessary tools and equipment to be used as a pumper.

It also carries a full compliment of ground ladders, those that are carried and raised by the firefighters, an aerial ladder and all the tools necessary to operate as a ladder company.

Because of the limits placed on it by manpower and it’s inability to be moved once committed as either a pumper or a ladder, it cannot be used for both at the same time except in certain very restricted circumstances.
