All printed documents produced and provided by the BFST are in the public domain and may be copied without permission and may also be edited to fit the specific needs of the particular entity adopting the language for that entity's use provided the original intent and integrity is maintained.

• Model Safety Program  This program is an example of a firefighter safety program that meets the requirements of FAC 69A-62.021. It may be downloaded, modified and used by any fire rescue department in the development, modification or update of their compliant department firefighter safety program

  This is a collection of MS Word, public domain documents from Florida Fire/Rescue departments. They may be downloaded and modified to fit the needs of the department. These S.O.P.'s and S.O.G.'s are currently in use and proven effective.
  
• FFOSHA Questions and answers
  is a collection of the most frequently asked questions regarding the implementation of Florida Statute 633.801, 633.821 and F.A.C. 69A-62. These questions were asked during the round of public hearings held in 5 different districts around the state.
• Texas Firefighter Fatality Investigation  -  Seatbelt Pledge
  Read how one young firefighter senselessly died for want of a simple fabric belt. All this young man had to do was buckle a simple belt and he would most likely still be among us - fighting fires. Officers need to understand their responsibility in making sure EVERYONE GOES HOME at the end of the shift; apparatus operators need to understand their responsibility is to get everyone to the call so the crew can effectively use the equipment and make sure EVERYONE GOES HOME after the call. All supervisors and crew leaders need to ensure that EVERYONE is buckled up before the apparatus moves. Develop a seatbelt policy and enforce it!
