STATE FIRE MARSHAL
IN MEMORIUM FOR SAVANNAH
Savannah
Passed away February 2011
Savannah was one of the first State Farm sponsored ADK-9s placed in service with the Division of State Fire Marshal. She was assigned to the Northwest Region of the Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations. She retired from active service in April of 2005 following an outstanding career.
Detective Mark Haddock was the original handler for Savannah and they worked as a team until Detective Haddock transferred to another agency. At that time Detective Thomas Barron became her handler and partner until she retired.
In April 2005, Savannah retired from active service and was adopted by (then) Director of the Division of State Fire Marshal Les Hallman.
Former Director Hallman called to let everyone know that Savannah was high-strung and active to the very end, but that she was ready to go and rest full time.
Now Lieutenant Barron stated, " Rest in Peace my ex-partner and friend".
