Job Safety Analysis

Job Safety Analysis is a process through which individual hazards inherent to specific jobs are identified. Each step of the job is analyzed to determine possible hazards and prevent them before they occur, when possible. Once the analysis is completed, efforts should be made to eliminate or reduce the identified hazards. Once the hazards have been reduced to acceptable levels, training should be conducted to make employees aware of the any hazards that remain.

The State of Florida Loss Prevention Program can provide training on how to conduct Job Safety Analyses in your workplace. Please feel free to use the following tools in the creation of your JSA program.
