The National Association of Managed Care Regulators (NAMCR) is dedicated to
problem identification, assessment, and development of responsible model
regulations, standards and procedures to assist state and federal government
agencies in their mandates to provide public assurances that managed care
entities meeting the operational criteria established by the Association are
financially sound, administratively competent, and capable of delivering high
quality, accessible services in a cost efficient manner.

The National Organization of Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Associations
is a voluntary association of the 52 state life and health guaranty
associations, including Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, organized
as a Virginia nonstock corporation ("NOLHGA".) Guaranty associations, by law,
provide a safety net for policyholders in the event of a life and health
insurance company insolvency. From 1983 through 1999, guaranty associations
have paid over $5.6 billion to protect policyholders.
