On July 1, 2004, the Second Judicial Circuit Court, Leon County, Florida, signed a Consent Order placing New America Insurance Company (“New America”) in receivership for purposes of rehabilitation. The Florida Department of Financial Services is the court appointed Receiver of New America. New America consented to be placed into rehabilitation in order for the Department to better assist the company in meeting its statutory and other obligations.
New America Insurance Company is a corporation authorized to transact business in the state of Florida. The company previously wrote homeowners and dwelling fire insurance coverage but currently has no in-force policies.
It is the claimant's responsibility to notify the Receiver, in writing, if there is a change in their name or mailing address. When corresponding with the Receiver, be sure to reference "New America Insurance Company", which will allow the Receiver to associate your request with the correct claim and Receivership.
