How do I report a new claim?
All in-force South Carolina policies of Florida Select were assumed by Capitol Preferred Insurance Company ("Capitol Preferred") on September 15, 2006. To report a new claim for a loss that occurred after September 14, 2006 please contact Capitol Preferred at (800) 734-4749.
What is the status of my pending claim from a loss that occurred prior to September 15, 2006?
If you need to find out the status of a pending claim with a date of loss that was prior to the expiration or termination of your Florida Select policy, you may contact Wimberly Claims Service using the below contact information:

If I have a pending claim with Florida Select, will the Rehabilitation affect the status of my claim?
No. To the extent possible, claims will be processed in the ordinary course of business.
How much will be paid on my claim?
The company’s rehabilitation status should not affect the payments on your claim.
There is a lawsuit being brought against me for bills that Florida Select should have paid. What should I do?
Notify Florida Select through the company’s regular claims filing procedures.
How do I check on the status of my pending flood claim from a loss that occurred prior to September 15, 2006?
The company’s flood claim processing procedure will continue. If you need to check on the status of a pending claim, you may call National Flood Services, Inc. at (800) 759-8656 and a consumer representative will assist you.
How do I file a new flood claim on my Capitol Preferred flood policy?
If you have a separate Flood policy on your South Carolina property, please report new claims to your agent. If you are unable to reach your agent, please report your damage caused by flooding and/or storm surge to Capitol Preferred at (800) 734-4749.
