Weekly eNewsletter from Florida's Chief Financial Officer

Dear Fellow Floridian:

Hello, I’m Jeff Atwater, your Chief Financial Officer.

Our culture has a tradition of naming resolutions for the New Year. Things that we have identified that we want to change and improve, or goals that we are inspired to aim for.

My office has been identifying priorities and outlining projects, preparing for this next year. I know that our state will face challenges in the coming year, but I believe that you, the people of Florida, have an extraordinary ability to overcome obstacles.

My father used to have a favorite expression, “Grab it and growl,” which meant face challenges head on and accomplish your goals with tenacity and passion.

During my time as your CFO, I have seen Floridians take on many challenges with incredible tenacity and, time after time, they have been victorious over those challenges.

Your spirit and drive inspire me and I’m excited to see what we will accomplish together in 2013.

I wish you all the bountiful blessings of life and freedom in this coming year.

Watch video.
