Dear Fellow Floridian:
Every New Year brings new opportunities. A new leaf in the book of life is
turned and the blank page is filled with hope and potential. Our time is what we
make of it.
As you sit down around your kitchen table as 2011 comes to a close and write
out your resolutions for the next year, remember that history can be the greatest
guide to our future.
As our government can learn from the history of our nation, that our faith,
freedom, free enterprise, capitalism are all hallmarks that have made our
country thrive, we can turn those lessons to our future and mold our plans to
preserve and protect those very values.
In the same way, take time to reflect on your personal history, recall your
past year, celebrate your victories, identify the positive values that you want
to protect and carry with you in the coming year and determine what new goals to
set so that you can take pride not just in what happens in 2012 but in the
course of your life.
I know I will be reflecting, with my staff, our successes during my first
year serving as your Chief Financial Officer.
And I promise you this: my resolution will be to look for any way possible,
that I can serve you, my fellow Floridians, better and better each day.
Watch the video.
