Video Text: Unclaimed Property Auction
If you
are in the Jacksonville area next Saturday, September 17, I would like
to invite you to the annual Florida Unclaimed Property Auction at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra.
The auction is an annual sale of items from unclaimed safe deposit
boxes turned over to the state. Auction items include jewelry, coins,
gold, silver, antiques, watches, and more over 37,000 lots in all. A
preview of items will be held on Friday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m.
I hope you will join us for the annual action, but most importantly,
I encourage you to check our Web site, FLTreasureHunt.org, to see if you
have unclaimed property that the state is holding for you.
The auction is a great annual event, but ideally we would like to
reunite Floridians with their lost property and funds. My Bureau of
Unclaimed Property currently holds more than $1 billion in unclaimed
property. In this challenging economic climate, it is more important
than ever that this money ends up back in the pockets of hardworking
Floridians.
I hope you will join us for the auction and go online today—
FLTreasureHunt.org—to see if you have unclaimed property that we can
return to you.
Thank you.
