It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Accelerant Detection K-9 Ember. K-9 Ember’s partner was the Bureau of Fire and Arson ADC Team Commander Captain Ross Holt.

K-9 Ember was 11 years old and faithfully served the citizens of Florida from 2007 to 2015. K-9 Ember was still active and working until her passing. The members of the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Arson K-9 Unit and the Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations will miss her greatly.

Rest easy K-9 Ember, we thank you for your service.
