Effective September 1, 2004, state agencies will be given authority to establish and update account code information through Departmental Accounting under the “AA” function. Requests to process account code information will no longer need to be submitted to the Bureau of Accounting, with the exception of cash control accounts. Requests to process cash control account code information should continue to be submitted to the Bureau of Accounting. Agency Access Control Custodians will need to contact the FLAIR HELPDESK to obtain the required security access.

Procedures for updating account code information under the “AA” function can be found at www.dbf.state.fl.us/dishelpdesk/education.html. Click on Account Code Function (AA) on the left side of the page to begin the update process. Agencies will need to retrieve through the Report Distribution System (RDS) the Agency Add Account Code Error Report (RDS Form ID XXEY) and the Agency Add Account Code Pending Approval Report (RDS Form ID XXEZ). Instructions for obtaining these reports can be found on our website in the Account Code Request Function Instructions (Pages 20 through 24).
