On-Line Warrant Cancellation System |
On or about October 1, 2002, agencies will be able to place Expense,
Public Assistance, Unemployment Compensation and Retirement warrants
in a stop-pay status and/or cancel them through an on-line warrant cancellation
system. FLAIR Education will add the new section of the FLAIR manual
to their website around the middle of September. New FLAIR manuals ordered
through the Help Desk will contain this information. NOTE: All
processes regarding the cancellation and stop-pay status for salary
and payroll deduction warrants (Type 3) will not change.
Four half-day training sessions are scheduled for September 30, 2002,
and October 1, 2002. Sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
and will be conducted in the FLAIR Classroom, Room 250 of the Fletcher
Building in Tallahassee. Please email your list of attendees and their
applicable dates and times of attendance to Joanne Krieberg-Wolin at
jkrieber@mail.dbf.state.fl.us.
FLAIR Transaction classes offered after October 1, 2002, will include
this material.
Effective with the implementation of the new on-line warrant cancellation
system, each agency will be responsible for the accountability and destruction
of cancelled warrants. You are encouraged to contact your agency's Chief
Internal Auditor or Inspector General for assistance in developing and
implementing internal procedures for the accounting, control and destruction
of cancelled warrants.
