SUBJECT: Payments to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) - Revised

Agency Addressed Memo, No. 14, (1998-99), specified that levy proceeds should be set up using the Internal Revenue Service as the payee. Recent changes by the IRS now require that levy proceeds be made payable to the US Treasury. All other provisions of this memo remain in effect.
