SUBJECT: STATE AGENCY AS HOLDER FOR UNCLAIMED PROPERTY INQUIRIES

In the past, the Bureau of Accounting has been designated as the point of contact (holder) for uncashed state warrants and has performed the reporting and remitting requirements of Chapter 717, Florida Statutes. In preparation of each state agency assuming the holders' responsibility, the following training classes have been scheduled for agency accounting and/or administrative support staff.

March 4, 2002 (10:00 – 12:00 a.m.)
March 11, 2002 (9:00 – 11:00 a.m.)

Both training sessions will be conducted in the JAD Training Classroom, Room G16C, Fletcher Building, 101 East Gaines Street, Tallahassee, Florida.

Details of agency and Bureau of Accounting responsibilities will be provided at the training.
