Mission Statement The Office of Fiscal Integrity is a criminal justice agency whose mission is to detect and investigate the misappropriation or misuse of state assets in a manner that safeguards the interests of the State of Florida and its taxpayers.
Overview The Office of Fiscal Integrity was created in 1992 to investigate allegations of fraud, waste and abuse of state monies and resources. OFI is a criminal justice agency with full statutory subpoena authority. Staff consists of investigators, investigative analysts and sworn law enforcement personnel to carry out its mission. OFI frequently conducts investigations jointly with local, state and federal law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies.
