Serve Save Succeed (SSS), a component of Financial Frontlines, serves as a resource and community forum for current and former military service members on financial-related topics. On the forum, members are able to discuss successful saving and budgeting options, tips on navigating the unique financial challenges faced by those in the military, etc. Testimonial videos featuring current service members and veterans discussing their personal stories of saving and budgeting are highlighted on the site. The forum also allows for departmental interaction and engagement with the military community to assess their resource needs directly.
Public Records and Records Retention
Florida has a broad public records law. Comments or statements posted online as part of the SSS forum constitute public records and are subject to disclosure upon request under the Public Records Law, Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, absent any applicable statutory exemptions from disclosure. Any communication via this site, whether by a state employee or the general public, will be made available to the public and media upon request pursuant to Public Records Law.
If a comment or post is deleted from the SSS site due to profanity, obscenity, hostility by the visitor or user (language), or irrelevance to the agency, a record of the comment or post will be kept prior to deletion in accordance with record retention requirements. The record of the deleted comment or post may be either a print out or a screen shot of the comment or post saved to the computer.
Subject to any applicable statutory exemptions from disclosure under the Public Records Law, information that you submit voluntarily through the SSS site is publically available, including your name, city or town, and the substance of any comment you post or comment you make, and this information may be disseminated further by the Department of Financial Services (department) for any lawful purpose.
