The Bureau of Fire Prevention is comprised of four sections, under the direction of the Chief of Fire Prevention, James E. Goodloe. The four sections and their Managers are: Inspections Section, Arlan Davis; Plans Review, William Fowler; Boiler Safety, Mike Burns; and Regulatory Licensing, Casia Sinco.

The Bureau, although headquartered in Tallahassee, has six field offices and three satellite offices around the state. A Supervisor is assigned to each field office to ensure support is available to our customers within their respective areas.

2007 FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE:          

The Florida Fire Prevention Code is adopted by the State Fire Marshal at three year intervals as required by Chapter 633.0215, Florida Statutes. This complex set of fire code provisions are enforced by the local fire official within each county, municipality, and special fire district in the state. The county, municipality or special district in which you reside may also have local amendments applicable only to your community.
