On May 26, 1998, the Receiver successfully petitioned the Second Judicial Circuit Court in and for Leon County, Florida (“Court”) to consolidate the receiverships of Southeastern Reinsurance Company, Inc. and Southeastern Casualty & Indemnity Insurance Company ("Southeastern Casualty").
Proof of claim forms have been mailed. All claimants that submitted a proof of claim form in these estates have been notified in writing of the Receiver's recommendation on their claim. All objections to the recommendations have been resolved.
In January 2004, an initial distribution was made in this estate. A second distribution was made in October 2004. As of the second distribution all claimants in classes 1, 2, and 3 will have received 100% of the recommended and adjudicated amount of their claim. If additional assets become available, claimants in classes 4 and beyond will be reviewed for possible distributions.
Pursuant to the court order, all undelivered distributions will be sent to the Department of Financial
