Division of Liquidation and Liquidation
I am an agent who has written policies with Northern Capital. What should I do?
Under the Liquidation Order, all policies not otherwise cancelled or terminated prior to 11:59:59 p.m. on May 30, 2010, were cancelled as of that time and date.
All appointed agents should immediately contact their Northern Capital policyholders and work to move all in-force policies to American Integrity Insurance Company or to another carrier that will write the business.
The Receiver has mailed an Agent Notice to all known agents alerting them of the receivership and of their responsibilities to their policyholders. To view a copy of this notice and other notices issued by the Receiver, click here.
Will Northern Capital policyholders receive a written notice from Northern Capital or the Receiver about the status of their policy?
The Receiver has mailed notices to policyholders regarding the Northern Capital receivership and the May 30, 2010 cancellation of policies. To view a copy of this notice and other notices issued by the Receiver, click here.
I am an agent of Northern Capital and I have not received commission check for February and/or March 2010?
Since the Receiver has received court approval to cancel all in-force policies as of 11:59:59 p.m., May 30, 2010, the Receiver is not processing agent’s commission checks for the months of February and March 2010. However, any unpaid earned agent’s commissions will be offset against the unearned commissions, if any, due from agents back to Northern Capital.
